Abaca Stripping Machines Turnover

23 November 2023 | Another four (4) sets of Abaca Stripping Machines were formally and successfully turned over by the Bounty Fresh & Chooks-To-Go, Inc. to the 4 ICCs/IPs groups in Davao Region, namely; Blaan-Tagakaulo IPs of Barangay Little Baguio, Malita, Davao Occidental, Blaan IPs in the Municipality of Matanao, Bagobo-Klata IPs of Barangay Manuel Guianga, Tugbok District, Davao City and Dibabawon IPs in the Municipality of Laak, Davao de Oro.

The ceremonial turn over was spearheaded by the Chooks-To-Go represented by Engr. Ruben Jaraplasan (Business Center Head – Davao Branch). Present also is the Finance and Administrative Division Chief, Marlon B. Juezan, MPA and Davao City Provincial Officer, Indalesio Diano.

It was also participated by the Barangay Council members headed by Punong Barangay Vanessa Ayog of Barangay Manuel Guianga, IPMRs, tribal council members, IPS council members, IADDA officers and other community members.

Engr. Jaraplasan conveyed his message to the recipients that their company (Chooks-To-Go) is a partner of the ICCs/IPs for development. They will continue helping the ICCs/IPs specially that they have the Corporate Social Responsibility.

Mr. Juezan also expressed his message of thanks and gratitude to the company for helping the ICCs/IPs in providing assistance specially the abaca stripping machines. He also encourages the recipients to take good care of the machines so that it will sustainably help them.

In response, each recipient expressed their message of acceptance, thanks and gratitude to the Bounty Fresh & Chooks-To-Go, Inc. and to the NCIP since they did not expect that they will be the one to be chosen as a recipient of the machines. They added, that these machines have a significant role in the promotions of their culture and traditions because out of it they can provide tribal attire, costumes and other IP inspired accessories.

Finally, the activity ended with an actual demonstration performed by the service provider. They demonstrated the proper use and operation of the machines.
