Arellano University’s Dr. Herminigildo Villasotto (in black) and Mr. Ivan Dolph Fabregas (in blue) of the National Teachers College were warmly accommodated as they visited the NCIP Central Office this day, December 14, 2021.
The Authors from said reputable institutions are currently writing a manuscript of a book entitled, “PHILIPPINE INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES: An Outcome-Based Education Approach (OBE) for College Students. This is for an elective subject in line with the curriculum of the Commission on Higher Education(CHED) aiming to provide a major reference for college students who will focus on indigenous peoples’ way of life, roles, rights, and contributions in the society. The protection and preservation of IP identity, culture, integrity, and rights to ancestral lands/domains will also be emphasized in this endeavor.
The Authors also received a set of Project Epanaw’s “PAGKILALA”, “PAGGALANG”, and “PAGTAGUYOD” Coffee Table Books (CTBs).
The NCIP would like to extend its gratitude to these authors/institutions for their efforts to be one with the Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples towards the attainment of absolute protection, promotion, respect, and recognition of IP rights.
