The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples, under its programs: IP Education and Advocacy Services and IP Based Socio-Economic Development Environment and Human Rights Services, has chosen Bagongbong Intergrated School, Lambunao, Iloilo, for the project entitled Balik Eskwela “Handog Kalinga para sa Katutubong Kabataan” in collaboration with the DSWD, SM Foundation, Aboitiz, and other development partners.
The activity was led by Engr. Edgardo P. Labordo, Jr., NCIP TMSD Chief, Ms. Vima G. Latoza, CAO II, and Iloilo/Guimaras CSC staff, Ms. Jona Lebuna, CAO I, Mr. Aldren Dalisay, Nurse II, and Mr. Jay Ardiente, TAA II, with the presence of Ms. Cecilia Alion Moscardon, Principal I. The distribution of pairs of school shoes was successful, with more or less 500 IP learners availing of the school shoes and socks.
Dr. Mary Con Evangelista conducted a Basic Oral Health Case (Flouride Varnish Application) for Kinder to Grade 3 pupils.
