The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) and the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples Employees’ Association (NCIPEA) sign a Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) on July 24, 2024.
The CNA aims to foster a harmonious working relationship between the NCIP and its employees geared to enhance employee welfare to deliver efficient public service, especially for Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples.
Representing NCIP were Chairperson Jennifer Pia Sibug-Las, Executive Director Mervyn H. Espadero, Administrative Service Director Atty. Josefina Rodriguez-Agusti, and NCIP’s Ethnographic Commissioners – Gaspar Cayat for CAR and Region I; Simplicia Hagada for Region II; Atty. Rhodex Valenciano for Region III and Rest of Luzon; Jeorge Largado for Island Groups and Rest of Visayas, and Atty. Pinky Grace Pabelic for Nothern and Western Mindanao, while NCIPEA was represented by its President, Mr. Abdulani P. Lakibul.
The signing was held at the Hotel Elizabeth in Baguio City, during NCIP’s National Management Conference.
