Collective efforts from government agencies/stakeholders under the Barangay Development Program (BDP) of NTF ELCAC in Central Luzon

On September 23, 2021, Mr. Randie Bacani, Chief Administrative Officer of NCIP Region 3, was interviewed by Up-Up Pilipinas, a regular public affairs program of the Philippine Air Force, to discuss about the efforts of the government in the implementation of the Barangay Development Program utilizing the whole-of-government and whole-of-nation approach.
Below are some of the programs implemented and set to be implemented for the Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs) in Central Luzon. Visit corresponding links for more information.
DA will be implementing irrigation projects and constructing post-harvest facilities such as warehouses with recirculating dryers. Farmers to enlist in the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture to access agriculture-related programs and services. Donated farm animals to Ayta Mag-indi and Ayta Mag-intsi in Porac, Pampanga.

3rd Mechanized IB and the Church of God Intl. installed a potable water system in Capas, Tarlac. IP families received food packs containing five kilos of rice, canned goods, noodles, a tray of eggs, a bottle of bagoong, a pack of coffee and sugar.
DOST, under the CEST program, will provide IP communities in Bamban, Mayantoc, San Clemente and San Jose in Tarlac P5.67 million worth of projects β root crops/vegetable processing, non-food processing, water filtration system, waste analysis and characterization study, and production of organic fertilizers. Other projects include interactive multimedia teaching aids, biodiversity seminars, Juan-time clock with messaging board, and disaster preparedness and basic first aid.
The Barangay Development Program (BDP) was established with the end goal of bringing development to former conflict ridden communities. This program is directed to the sustainable rehabilitation and development of 822 barangays in the country which were formerly established as guerilla fronts of the CPP-NPA-NDF.
