The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) delegation led by Chairperson Allen A. Capuyan together with Dir. Hazel Marjorie Lucas, Finance Service (FS) and Dir. Reynaldo Dingal, Office on Empowerment and Human Rights (OEHR), paid a courtesy visit to the Philippine National Police (PNP) led by PGen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr., PNP Chief, at the Camp Crame PNP National Headquarters, Quezon City.
The discussion was focused on enhancing the agencies’ collaboration under the framework of the 11 Building Blocks (11BBs) for Resilient, Responsive, and Relevant ICCs/IPs in their Ancestral Domains/Ancestral Lands (ADs/ALs) vis-à-vis the thirteen (13) Economic Drivers in the ADs/ALs of the ICCs/IPs nationwide that need to be availed of and realized.
PNP Chief Azurin assured that the PNP is ready to bring development in the farthest area to include the ADs/ALs, the PNP as one of the partners of the NCIP and the ICCs/IPs towards the recognition, respect, promotion, and protection of their rights.
The PNP also received Project Epanaw’s three (3) Coffee Table Books, Annual Report, and the Poster of 11 BBs through the Chairperson.
