CTB Turnover and Meeting with the DENR Secretary

Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Ma. Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga received the NCIP Project Epanaw’s Three (3) Coffee Table Books (CTBs) and 2020-2021 Annual Accomplishment Reports (AARs) through NCIP Chairperson Allen A. Capuyan, together with Executive Director Atty. Caesar M. Ortega and Legal Affairs Office (LAO) Director Atty. Gillian Dunuan.
During the meeting, DENR Undersecretary for Field Operations of Mindanao Joselin Marcus E. Fragada discussed the agenda regarding the issues and concerns within the Ancestral Domains/Protected Areas. Chairperson Capuyan elaborated on these issues and the real situation inside the Ancestral Domains. He added that NCIP will spearhead the release of National Advisories signed by other agencies concerning the Ancestral Domains.
Secretary Yulo-Loyzaga assured continuous support to the NCIP in protecting the Environmental Areas and to come up with resolutions in regards to these issues and concerns within the Ancestral Domains.
Chairperson Capuyan also shared the importance of the operationalization of the 11 Building Blocks for Resilient, Responsive, and Relevant ICCs/IPs in their Ancestral Domains.
