26 October 2023 | The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples – Cordillera Administrative Region (NCIP-CAR) conducted its Culminating Program: 2023 Indigenous Peoples Month Celebration and 26th Anniversary of Indigenous People’s Rights Act (IPRA) of 1997 in PFVR Gym, Baguio City.
The event aims to celebrate and give tribute to the resiliency of our Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs) in Cordillera.
NCIP Executive Director, Mervyn H. Espadero, Regional Director, Atty. Atanacio Andog represented NCIP; while Assistant Regional Director for Administration, Enrique Gascon represented Department of Social Welfare and Development – CAR (DSWD-CAR).
In his message, Exec. Dir. Espadero encouraged all of the participants to safeguard the rich heritage of the country to honor, cherish the legacy of ICCs/IPs and ensure its passage to generations to come.
