Energy Virtual One-Stop Shop (EVOSS) meeting
 
On 11 May 2023, The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) attended the Energy Virtual One-Stop Shop (EVOSS) Meeting spearheaded by the Department of Energy at 2nd floor Bonifacio Hall, Malacanang.
 
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the Anti-Red Tape Authority’s (ARTA) update on the suggested help desk Memorandum of Understanding with the Local Government Units in addressing complaints on the processing of applications, submission of the designated Permanent and Alternate Representatives, update and commitment from the Agencies/entities on the compliance with RA No 11234 (EVOSS Act), Establishment of the Policy and Admin Framework for Offshore Wind Development, and Approval of the Draft Resolution on the implementation of the stop the clock mechanism in the EVOSS System during natural calamities.
 
Present during the meeting were, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Raphael P.M. Lotilla, NCIP Chairperson Allen A. Capuyan, Department of Environment and Natural Resources Undersecretary Ignatius Loyola Rodriguez, DOE Undersecretary Felix William Fuentebella, and Office of the President Assistant Secretary Al-azree Mohammadsali.
 
The EVOSS System is an online system that allows the coordinated submission and synchronous processing of all required data and information, and provides a single decision-making portal for actions on applications for permits or certifications necessary for, or related to, an application of a proponent for new power generation, transmission, or distribution projects.
