30 June 2023 |The NCIP Chairperson with Ms. Glenda Alcantara Pua of OSESSC attended the 1st National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) en Banc Meeting under the administration of H.E. President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.
The President who sits as the Chairperson of the NAPC presided over the meeting held at Heroes Hall, Malacañang Palace. Present during the en Banc are the Heads of Agencies and Technical Action Officers from the 25 agency members including the NCIP, presidents of Leagues of LGUs, and 14 Basic Sector Representatives.
The NAPC Lead Convenor, Secretary Lope B. Santos III apprised the President of the urgent tasks and updates on NAPC’s Formulation of National Anti-Poverty Action Agenda (N3A), National Poverty Reduction Plan (NPRP), and Local Poverty Reduction Action Plans (LPRAPs).
The meeting ended with the President’s guidance and directive to the NAPC, in collaboration and coordination with all heads of the member agencies to truly embody the whole-of-nation approach to achieve poverty reduction goal from 18.1% to 9% by 2028.
