IGNITING HOPE AND EMPOWERMENT: DAVAO DE ORO 1ST YEAR ANNIVERSARY AS INSURGENCY FREE

22 June 2023 | The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) took part during the Davao De Oro 1st Insurgency Free Anniversary.
 
Chairperson Allen Capuyan highlighted the significance of the 12 Lines of Efforts (LOEs) outlined in Executive Order 70 and underscored the importance of “good governance” in achieving peace and security in the province & nationwide.
 
He also recognized the resilience, relevance, and responsiveness of the Indigenous Cultural Communities and Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs) in fostering a strong and inclusive IP community. Upholding their rights and preserving their cultural heritage was essential to sustainable development.
 
The Chairperson commended the convergence culture achieved by the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF ELCAC). This culture, fostered through a whole-nation approach, demonstrated the power of collaboration among diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, security sectors, private agencies, and local communities.
 
Political leaders of the province, security stakeholders, agencies of government and those coming from public & private sectors were the participants for the said event.
