Indigenous Peoples in Negros Oriental Availed BFAR Scholarship

Three (3) Indigenous Peoples (IP) students belonging to the Bukidnon IP Group have qualified as Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources – Fisheries Scholarship Program (BFAR – FSP) Scholars for the Academic Year 2021-2022.

The 3 scholars, namely Ms. Viern Quizia M. Barroca, Ms. Jyka Mae M. Estrellanes, and Ms. Melissa Mae F. Legaje are granted full scholarship for the degree of Bachelor of Science in Fisheries. The scholarship grant includes free matriculation and other school fees, monthly stipend of Php 4,000.00, Semestral Book Allowance of Php 2,000.00, Research/Thesis/Special Problem support of Php 7,000.00, and Graduation Fee of Php 1,500.00.

They will receive their Certificate of Award from the BFAR at the NCIP-NORPO, Bayawan City, Negros Oriental on May 11, 2021.

BFAR – FSP provides five slots per region.
