22 October 2023 | The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples Region V (NCIP V) participated in the 12th Indigenous Peoples (IP) Day in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
In her message, NCIP Chairperson Jennifer Pia Sibug-Las underscored the meaning of respect to moral values/principles, and customary laws to empower Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs).
The highlight of the activity was the oath-taking of Barangay Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representatives (IPMR) Dionisio Medez and Benedicto Magbanua administered by Chairperson Sibug-Las and Kabankalan City Mayor Benjie Miranda.
