13 July 2023 | National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) participated in Launching of Green Lanes for Strategic Investments in Sofitel Philippine Plaza, Manila.
Representing NCIP was the Chairperson; while Secretary Benhur Abalos represented Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Secretary Alfredo Pascual represented Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Mr. Ernesto Delos Reyes of Board of Investments, and Presidential Adviser on Investment and Economic Affairs Mr. Frederick Go; also in attendance were partner agencies and private sector organizations.
Sec. Pascual welcomed investors and attendees; he encouraged everyone to make the Philippines a top investment destination.
During the activity, a presentation on the Presidential Executive Order (EO) No. 18 was shown.
In his speech, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. reiterated that It’s always been trade has always been key to a nation’s wealth. He emphasized that EO No. 18 will serve as a beacon of progress of businesses and for the country’s economic growth.
Green Lane will streamline the processes and requirements for the issuance of permits and licenses of Strategic Investments, and create an environment of development and progress to Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs) elevating their socio-economic status.
