The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) delegation, led by the Chairperson, takes part during the National Assembly of Indigenous Leaders in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Indigenous Peoples’ Rights Act (IPRA) spearheaded by the Assisi Development Foundation on 28 October 2022, at Prestige Tower, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.
The NCIP Chairperson shared the Milestones Accomplishments in the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs). He emphasized the importance of the 11 Building Blocks (BBs) of Resilient, Responsive, and Relevant ICCs/IPs in their Ancestral Domains.
The assembly was attended by different ICCs/IPs such as Matigsalug, Tagakolu, T’boli, Pasil-Kalinga, Mangyan-Alangan, Dumagat, Ayta, Kalinga, Ati, Magahat Bukidnon, Akeanon Bukidnon Tribe, Manobo-Surigaonon, Blaan, Talaandig, Agta-Tabangnon, Mangyan-Tadyawan, Mandaya, Teduray, and Obo-Klata.
NCIP turned over sets of Project Epanaw’s Three (3) Coffee Table Books (CTBs), 2021 Annual Report, and Posters of 11 BBs to the participants, resource speakers, and Assisi Development Foundation.
