NATIONAL WORKSHOP FOR NCIP ENGINEERS AND TRAINING ON DELINEATION FOR RRB, PDT, AND CDT MEMBERS

National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) conducted a 3-day National Workshop for NCIP Engineers and Training Delineation for Engineers and training delineation for Regional Review Body (RRB), Provincial Delineation Team (PDT), and Community Delineation Team (CDT) members in Camelot Hotel, Quezon City from 19th to 21st of July 2023.
 
NCIP Chairperson Capuyan participated in the training along with the Ethnographic Commissioners, Executive Director, Central Office Bureau Directors and Division Chiefs, and PDT/CDT members Cluster 1: Regions 1, Cordillera Autonomous Region (CAR), 2, 3, 4-A, 4-B, 5, 6, and 7.
 
The purpose of the 3-day training is to gain knowledge and skills in preparation of documentary requirements for processing of Certificate of Ancestral Domain Title (CADT) applications.
Discussions and refreshers regarding indicative mapping regional maps, data gathering, and contracting out delineation activity were among the exercises conducted.
 
Also, participants prepared sample outputs of guidelines to gain knowledge and skills identifying factors affecting the output of the data gathering and process.
To conclude the convention, presentations and photos will be shared to all viber groups by National Workshop/Training Viber group.
 
Finalization of Regional Offices on draft enhanced guidelines is scheduled to be a face-to-face small group discussion on July-August.
 
NCIP will continue to improve process in monitoring, evaluation, documentation, and data gathering for CADT applications to fully institutionalize 11 Building Blocks of resilient, responsive, and relevant ICCs/IPs within their ADs.
