16 October 2023 | The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), in partnership with the PLDT and Smart, implemented a training entitled, #Cybersmart: Creating Safer Space in the Digital World at the NCIP Central Office in Quezon City.
In her message, NCIP Chairperson Jennifer Pia Sibug-Las underscored the importance of knowledge and information on how to responsibly use social media to protect users and their families.
The training aimed to fortify knowledge in the navigation of the digital highway and to instill that together – online users can create a safer digital environment for all. With this, topics on online security, awareness of digital footprint, protection of personal data from phishing schemes among the discussions during the event.
To cap the activity, Chairperson Sibug-Las provided two sets of Project Epanaw Coffee Table Books to Ms. Joy Lapuz of PLDT-Smart.
