A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by and between the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) represented by Chairman Allen A. Capuyan, and the United Indigenous Peoples Heritage of the Philippines (UniPhil) represented by Honorary Chairperson, Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy.
The partnership hopes to bring real positive change to the lives of the ICCs/IPs by providing assistance in their legal rights, medical care, literacy, and socio-economic services through UniPhil’s interventions and activities in Child Development Program, Youth Development Program, Differently-abled Persons Program, Ancestral Domain Protection Program, Men’s Development Program, and Cultural Integrity Program.
After the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, the NCIP Chairperson Allen A. Capuyan and UniPhil Honorary Chairperson exchanged messages of gratitude and commitment on behalf of the agencies they represent.
The NCIP Chairperson is joined by a delegation composed of Executive Director Caesar M. Ortega, Director Marjorie Lucas of FS, Director Mary Grace Buasen of OECH, Director Rosana Lingating of AS, Chief Glenda Alcantara Pua of OSESSC-SEDD, Chief Atty. Rizzabel Aguilar of LAO.
The UniPhil Honorary Chairperson Pastor Quiboloy is joined by a delegation composed of Sister Elizabeth D. Carreon, Sister Ingrid Canada, Sister Mariteo Canada, Brother Marlon Rosete and Atty. Kaye Laurente.
This significant event is also witnessed by General Mario Chan, former Philippine Ambassador to Brazil and Dr. Lorraine Badoy, former Undersecretary of Presidential Communications Operations Office and former Spokesperson of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).
