On October 18, 2023, in behalf of the Chairperson, Chief Accountant Gladys Minerva N. Bilibli, Budger Officer V Aurora M. Tolete and Accountant lV Jennifer Punzal of the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) Finance Service, together with the NCIP’s COA Team, accepted the award from the Association of the Government Accountants of the Philippines (AGAP) for the NCIP as one of the “Outstanding Accounting Office for FY 2022,” during the first day of the AGAP Annual Convention 2023 at the SMX, Bacolod City.
The basis of the award were as follows: timely submission of the Consolidated Year-end Financial Reports for FY 2022; accurate/ fairly presentation in all material respect of the financial statements for FY 2022; unmodified Audior’s Opinion of the COA on NCIP’s financial statements reflected in the Annual Audit Report for FY 2022; and NCIP’s FY 2022 Budget Utilization Rate (BUR) of 95.65% for obligations and 94.86% for disbursements, as evaluated by the Department of Budget and Management.
