LOOK | NCIP CAR facilitates the conduct of Healing, Reconciliation & Operationalizing the 11 Building Blocks in the Ancestral Domains in Support to the Whole of Government / Whole of Nation Approach by Empowering the Former Rebels, IP Youth, IP-Enlisted Personnel, and IP Leaders”
Kalinga State University, Tabuk, Kalinga – Series of initiatives are being conducted to level-off the understanding & significance of operationalizing the Eleven (11) Building Blocks on the recognition, respect, protection, and promotion of the rights of Indigenous Peoples to all stakeholders for a resilient, relevant, and responsive Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs) as partners for nation building, peace, security, and development.
These collaborative efforts aim to advocate and strengthen the Whole of Government (WOG)/Whole of Nation (WON) approach by synchronizing the efforts of the Philippine Government and other stakeholders to better respond and address injustices/issues surrounding ICCs/IPs. Peace Covenant and Commitment was also conducted during the activity.
The two (2)-day undertaking is being headed by the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) and the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC), with Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Local Government Units (LGUs), ICCs/IPs, IP Organizations, other Government Agencies, and concerned Public and Private Sectors.
