21 December | The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples conducted a focus group discussion (FGD) with the remaining agencies to discuss the collaborative framework on the 11 Building Blocks of a resilient, responsive and relevant ICCs/IPs in their ADs/ALs of NCIP with NGAs as one of the ways forward during the IP National Summit on the ICCs/IPs Unification with Government in Nation-Building (EO #70: SUCBEM – Inter-Agencies – NCIP – ICCs/IPs) last 16 November 2022.
The FGD was conducted in 3 parts. The participants were briefed on the 11 Building Blocks Framework, then FGD breakout sessions handled by the four (4) NCIP Bureaus were conducted followed by the plenary session which was actively participated by the partner agencies.
The FGD aimed to discuss and workshop the buy-in of government agencies to the ICCs/IPs vis-à-vis the 11 Building Blocks.
The FGD was participated by various government agencies. These agencies include the Office of the Ombudsman (OMB), National Museum (NM), Public Attorney’s Office (PAO), Council for the Welfare of the Children (CWC), National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), and National Security Council (NSC).
Also present are the representatives of the Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) to enhance their collaborative framework for the preparation of the Memorandum of Agreement with the NCIP.
