Pursuant to Executive Order 273, otherwise known as the Philippine Plan for Gender Responsive Development (PPGD) and its subsequent addendum and amendments, the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) in coordination with the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW), conducted its GAD Planning for FY 2025 from 2-4 July 2024 at the NCIP Central Office, Quezon City.
Chairperson Jennifer Pia Sibug-Las attended the GAD Planning with ED Mervyn H. Espadero, Dir. Josefina S. Rodriguez-Agusti, and other technical personnel hailing from the different bureaus. Through Ms. Naomi J. Espadillo, authorized resource speaker from the PCW National Gender and Development Resource (GR) Pool, the NCIP has completed its assessment of the gender mainstreaming efforts of the agency and identification of areas of improvement which were included in the crafting of the FY 2025 GAD Plan and Budget.
To nationalize these efforts, the NCIP GAD Focal Point System (GFPS) will be revised to extend the technical working group to the agency’s field offices to ensure that the FY 2025 GAD Plan and Budget will be implemented and monitored religiously.
