NCIP Courtesy Visit to Former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo
The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) paid a courtesy visit to former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo (PGMA) on 07 March 2023, at the House of Representatives, Quezon City.
During the visit, Chairperson Allen C. Capuyan shared to PGMA the different issues and concerns relating to Indigenous Peoples in their respective ancestral domains and emphasized the operationalization of the 11 Building Blocks of a resilient, responsive, and relevant Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs) in their Ancestral Domains.
Former President Arroyo assured her continued support to ICCs/IPs and expressed her appreciation for NCIP’s commitment in the implementation of the Commission’s programs and services. The Chairperson also turned over a poster of 11 Building Blocks to PGMA.
