The Kabuhayan at Kaunlaran ng Kababayang Katutubo or 4K is a 3-year special project of the Department of Agriculture (DA) that focuses on the poverty alleviation of the Indigenous Cultural Communities and Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs) by developing their Ancestral Domains through agriculture.
It provides agricultural and fisheries-related livelihood opportunities, investments, and other support services through targeted Community Needs Assessment (CAN).
To ensure the continuity of the program, the DA-4Ks proposes its institutionalization as a full-fledged banner program of DA.
The NCIP is represented by Bureau Director, Atty. Geroncio R. Aguio, Division Chief, Ms. Glenda Alcantara-Pua, and DMO III, Ms. Dana Buenaobra-Lim, of the Office on Socio-Economic Services and Special Concerns. The DA is represented by the 4K Program Director, Mr. Ervannie Jay P. Belarmino, Assistant Program Director, Ms. Lucia A. Campomanes, and Mr. Joel Memita.
