On June 28, 2022, NCIP Davao del Sur in partnership with the Provincial Local Government Unit is one with the Indigenous Peoples and Muslim Community during the celebration of the Dugsu Sandawa Festival for the 55th Araw ng Davao del Sur.
The festive activity was graced by Governor Marc Douglas Cagas with Governor-Elect Yvonne Cagas, together with Provincial Tribal Chieftain Matanem Rogelio Manapol and Provincial IPMR Bae Norma Rivera. NCIP XI Regional Director Mumar M. Mamukid was also invited as a guest speaker for the event. The Indigenous Cultural Communities headed by their respective Municipal Tribal Chieftains and Municipal IPMRs were entertained by cultural presentations, dance competition, chanting, and tribal/muslim games.
Dugsu Sandawa is a celebration of the bounty that the nature has been offering to the different tribal communities that help them sustain their daily needs and enjoy a healthy living.
