1 FEBRUARY 2024 | Hon. John Tracy F. Cagas, District Representative of Davao del Sur, paid a visit to the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples Central Office to personally convey the issues and concerns of the Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs) in his district.

Chairperson Jennifer Pia Sibug-Las, together with Executive Director Mervyn H. Espadero, took into consideration the issues and concerns raised by Rep. Cagas. Moreover, Chairperson Sibug-Las instructed the concerned offices of NCIP, namely the Office on Empowerment and Human Rights (OEHR) and NCIP Regional Office XI, to promptly act on the matter and submit reports related thereto.

NCIP acknowledges the efforts made by Rep. Cagas in championing the welfare and rights of the ICCs/IPs of Davao del Sur. Further, NCIP is looking forward to future collaborations and positive engagements with the honorable representative.
