The NCIP through the Foreign-Assisted Programs and International Relations Office (FAPIRO) convened with the IPCF Taiwan, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in the Philippines, Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO), with the Ambassador of Taiwan to the Philippines, Ambassador Wallace Chow, to discuss about the cultural exchange event in 2024 viewed to enhance the relationship between the Tao people of Lanyu (a.k.a. Orchid Island) Taiwan and Ivatan People of the Batan Island in the Philippines.
To make this event a success, series of comprehensive discussions will be conducted with the NCIP, TECO, MECO, concerned Local Government Unit (LGU), among other key partners.
Ambassador Chow hosted a luncheon meeting to meet the team and hear insights for the upcoming event. The meeting also served as a platform for sharing rich cultural values and heritage among the group.
The NCIP received tokens of appreciation from the Taiwan delegation.
