NCIP participates in the opening of an Art Exhibit: LIMBUS

09 August 2023 | The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples participates in the opening of an Art Exhibit: LIMBUS as part of the celebration of the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples (IDWIP) and the National Indigenous Peoples Day (NIPD) at the Kanto Gallery at Makati Cinema Square, Chino Roces, Makati.

The LIMBUS Art Exhibit pays tribute, conveys narratives, offers societal observations, and sheds light on the lives and rich culture of the Indigenous Peoples.

A diverse group of prominent visual artists, with distinct creative abilities, have opted to showcase a wide array of their individual styles, encompassing traditional techniques, installations, performance art, as well as modern and contemporary aesthetics.

The artists also received Project Epanaw’s Three (3) Coffee Table “Pagkilala”, “Paggalang”, and “Pagtaguyod”, 2022 Annual Accomplishment Report, and the Book “An Island they called Mazaua” through the NCIP Ethnographic Commissioner Bo-I Jennifer Pia “Limpayen” Sibug-Las.
