The NCIP Office on Socio-Economic Services and Special Concerns headed by its Bureau Director, Atty. Geroncio R. Aguio and the Chief of Socio-Economic Development Division, Ms. Glenda A. Pua meet with the Tzu Chi Foundation Philippines’ CEO and Vice-President, Mr. Henry C. Yuñez, and Director Peggy Sy.
Tzu Chi Foundation Philippines is one of the 63 country chapters and offices of the Tzu Chi Foundation founded in Taiwan in 1966 by a Buddhist nun, Dharma Master Cheng Yen.
Tzu Chi Foundation Philippines is a duly recognized and accredited Social Work Agency by the Department of Social Welfare and Development. They are known for its wide range of humanitarian missions ranging from Charity Services, Disaster Relief Programs, Medical Assistance Programs, Livelihood Programs, Education and Scholarship Programs, Humanistic Culture, and Environmental Protection.
The NCIP and Tzu Chi Philippines both agreed to build a strong alliance and fully support the proposed partnership arrangements to provide socio-economic services and other projects that would boost the economic development and social progress of the ICCs/IPs.
