On 20 March 2023, Mr. Simon Bakker, the CEO of Kennemer Foods International, Inc. visited the NCIP Central Office to pay a courtesy call on the Chairperson & Directors.

 

During the visit, Mr. Bakker expressed his company’s intent to explore areas of collaboration and partnership with the NCIP to help the smallholder IP farmers.

 

Kennemer Foods International, Inc. is one of the big business conglomerates that heeded the call of the government to form the KALAP or Kapatid Angat Lahat Agri Program. Kennemer Foods is a Philippine agribusiness company specializing in the growing, sourcing and trading of high-quality agricultural crops such as fermented cacao beans sourced from smallholder farmers.

 

Their operation in Davao already involves IP farmers, and they wanted to help more IPs in the whole Mindanao.
