Parade of Colors, Prayer, & National Anthem

The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), alongside Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs) of the Philippines, successfully held an IP Summit at the Armed Forces of the Philippines Commissioned Officers Clubhouse (AFPCOC), Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City on November 16, 2022.
The summit, which carries the theme, “Building Families, Building Ancestral Domain/Ancestral Land Communities and Building the Nation,” also showcases a longstanding commitment to nation-building while at the same time operationalizing the 11 building blocks of ancestral domains.
The program formally opens with the parade of colors wherein the 101 Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICCs) represented by their respective IP Leaders, elders, and youth paraded in front of the delegates from the different National Government Agencies (NGAs) while holding their banners with so much pride and honor.
The NCIP prepared its rendition of a song You Raise Me Up by Josh Groban. The invocation was sung by the ICCs/IPs of Ata, Panay Bukidnon, Agta, Matigsalug, Bagobo-Tagabawa, Ibaloy, and Itneg/Tinguian in their native languages.
The AVP of the Philippine national anthem featuring the different ICCs/IPs in the Philippines was sung with pride, being part of the lineage of the very first people in the country.
