The PhilDeg composed of representatives from five (5) National Government Agencies (NGAs) namely, the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Land Management Bureau (DENR-LMB), Land Registration Authority (LRA), Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), and the Climate Change Commission (CCC) paid a courtesy visit to Her Excellency, Ambassador Deena Joy D. Amatong, Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Vientiane, Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
After introductions, representatives from NGAs shared respective experiences in their visit to Lao and their roles in the conducted event on the Recognition of Customary and Forest Area Tenure.
Areas of cooperation between the Philippines and Lao were discussed building on good will and strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Her Excellency also expressed desire to talk on areas of collaboration with the NCIP for the Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs).
