
05 March 2025 – As this year marks the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, the Philippines and the UN system embarks on the second year of the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for 2024-2028.
In the dialogue held at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Office in Pasay City, the Philippine government, UN country team, international financing institutions, and other development partners discussed approaches and mechanisms for the PH-UN partnership to support key transitions of the Philippines, focusing on innovation, financing, and green economy.
Aimed at ensuring the recognition, respect, protection, and promotion of Indigenous Rights and Indigenous Peoples Agenda, the NCIP participated in the dialogue to drive a proactive synergy with all local and international stakeholders fostering inclusion, genuine consultation, and harmonious collaboration.
The event was co-chaired by DFA Secretary Enrique A. Manalo, National Economic and Development Authority Secretary Arsenio M. Balisacan, with the newly appointed UN Resident Coordinator in the Philippines Arnaud Peral.
