QUEZON CITY – Fueled towards interest in Indigenous Peoples Education (IPEd) and Research on Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practices (IKSP), the NCCU paid a Courtesy Visit to the NCIP Central Office.
Accompanied by UP Diliman Professor, Mr. Francisco A. Datar, NCCU faculty members and student representatives were warmly welcomed by no less than the NCIP Chairperson with the Director of the Foreign-Assisted Programs and International Relations Office (FAPIRO), Dir. Dahlialyn D Dait-Cawed, MNSA.
Dir. Cawed gave a brief introduction about the IPRA, while the Chairperson himself presented the framework of the NCIP and the 11 Building Blocks for resilient, responsive, and relevant Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs) in their Ancestral Domains.
Areas of cooperation were discussed aiming to recognize, respect, promote, and protect the Indigenous Peoples of the Philippines.
The NCCU gave the Chairperson a token of appreciation while the NCIP proudly handed sets of Project Epanaw’s Three (3) Coffee Table Books (CTBs), 2021 Annual Report, and the Posters of the 11BBs.
