The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) in partnership with the National Council for Children’s Television (NCCT), a government agency mandated to promote media education, will conduct a forum on Smart Television and Media Parenting “Katuwang sa Mapanuring Panonood (KaSaMaPa)” for Indigenous Peoples on April 22, 2021 at 1:00PM.
KaSaMaPa aims to promote media literacy among parents and guardians. It also aims to develop a community of adults capable of assessing media messages and able to guide children in selecting and understanding media content through an advocacy of promoting responsible media usage. The activity contains lecture about media, society and media literacy, child-friendly television standards, and responsible and smart media parenting.
