The Domaget/Dumagat are natural protectors of the vast stretch of the Sierra Madre covering Regions 3 and Region 4A specifically the provinces of Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Rizal, and Quezon. Their specific identities are dependent on two things–where they live and the language they speak. The Kabolowen are known to be the dominant of the Domaget/Dumagat language group who live in the plains and mountainous areas where most plants grew. The Edimala refers to the language and the Domaget who live in rocky areas or caves. While the Tage-bulos refers both to the language and the Domaget who reside along or near shorelines or coastal communities.
