20-21 October 2023 | The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples Region I (NCIP Region I) conducted a Regional IP Summit entitled, “Tillaong” in celebration of the IP Month and the 26th IPRA Commemoration.
With its theme “Panagsisinninged nga Agwawagi Datun Tribu ti Region I” which translates to “A Gathering of Indigenous Peoples in Region 1,” celebrates the fortitude and brotherhood of Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs) in the region.
The festivity is in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Nueva Era, Ilocos Norte, and attended by NCIP Chairperson Jennifer Pia Sibug-Las, Regional Director Atty. Harriet N. Abyadang, Nueva Era Mayor Atty. Aldrin R. Garvida, and Vice Mayor Caroline Arzadon Garvida.
