05 October 2023 | National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) Buhi Service Center (SC), together with the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Buhi, facilitated the turnover of 20 motorized fiberglass boats and fishnets at the Buhi Millenium Center in Buhi, Camarines Sur.
Buhi Indigenous Peoples Farmers Fisher Folks Agriculture Cooperative (BIPFFACO) members received fishing equipment and motorized boats.
The activity is part of a month-long celebration of the Indigenous Peoples Rights Act (IPRA) of 1997, to promote the rights and well-being of Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs).
