Today, we celebrate World Children’s Day to commemorate the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of Child.

The Convention has encouraged governments to create laws and programs for children to provide them proper health care, education, and protection from violence and exploitation; it also, gives children opportunities to participate in discussions in their respective communities – providing them a voice in to pursue sustainable development.
